Supremely Screwed by Sassy Seahawks?

6 Mar

The Seahawks are hosting Brandon Marshall. The Seahawks apparently like Brandon Marshall. The Seahawks will probably offer a bunch a cash to Brandon Marshall. The Broncos will probably say goodbye to Brandon Marshall. The Broncos will get the #6 pick for Brandon Marshall. The Broncos will probably draft Dez Bryant to replace Brandon Marshall.

So you see how in one fell swoop we could lose two stud receivers? I really hope we get in on this Marshall thing. Otherwise we could very well be down to Antonio Bryant (who had a monster season two years ago, and could help) or whoever the Draft Gods allow to fall to us. Demaryius Thomas is intriguing, if his broken foot causes him to slide. Benn from Illinois. LaFell from LSU. Still, we’d be crossing our fingers and hoping we luck out, at a position that needed some serious attention this offseason.

And who exactly would be throwing to Marshall in Seattle? I would think that a talent as bright as Marshall would be running from the Seahawks – they’re a complete mess right now. I suppose that the lack of energy being put into finding receivers down in Miamai hints to another year of the Wildcat?

Speaking of teams with weak QBs: where do you think Delhomme ends up?

I think I might be able to play QB for Seattle, if I had Housh, Marshall and Carlson to throw to. They’d probably go QB with their second first rounder, let him learn under Hasselbeck for a year, or step in when Hass is inevitably injured.

And don’t cry for Delhomme. Word is he’s agreed to coach an Arena Football expansion club, the Baton Rouge Beignets.
