The Beast Comes East!

14 Apr

All indications are Brandon Marshall ain’t a good guy, but he’ll be playing for the good guys from now on. Miami sent their 2010 and 2011 second rounders to the Broncos for him this morning. This is a fair price when you consider that, if Denver had traded The Beast anywhere else they would have then drafted Dez Bryant right before we were on the clock.

Well done by The Trifecta. Marshall, Hartline and Bess make up a fantastic trio. Here’s hoping The Beast can stay out of trouble off the field, because on it we have added the most complete wideout to ever wear the teal and orange. Period.

I think this is a good deal for the Sea Mammals – kind of puts into perspective what a relatively poor deal the Stillers got for Holmes. Marshall’s a better WR for sure, but TWO second rounders vs. ONE fifth rounder better? Dunno.

Agreed. Even with a four game suspension, Santonio was worth more than a fifth rounder. Word is that the Stillers called the Jets first, who of course jumped on it. If Pittsburgh had given it a week, heading up to the draft, someone would have offered at least a little more.
