Dolphins to Make Smiley Decision in Future, at Some Point

15 May

The Miami Dolphins plan on making a move involving guard Justin Smiley “at some point after now”, GM Jeff Ireland explained at a Habitat for Humanity function Saturday morning.

“We don’t know yet what will happen,” Ireland said. “All we know is that this event will occur beyond the present.”

Ireland proceeded to grab a nearby Sharpie and draw a crude representation of the space time continuum on a 2×4. “Here is this moment,” he explained, pointing to a dot.

Ireland then drew a right-pointing arrow next to the dot. “Over here are all the things that are going to happen,” he added. “Somewhere between now and the eventual death of our solar system, we will reach a decision.”

When pressed for additional info, Ireland would only promise that the Smiley matter would not be resolved in the past.

It is a shame. He’s got the goods, but injuries can topple even the best.
