The Three Things We Wanna See Tonight

2 Sep

THING ONE WE WANNA SEE
Nolan Carroll taking a kick back 40+ yards. He simply must nail down the kick returner spot, if he hasn’t already done so. Our punt returner, Davone “Crazylegs” Bess, was an uninspiring 21st in the league last season. Coupling him with Patrick Cobbs (20.5 YPR for his career) could quite possibly leave Miami with the least dynamic return game in the league.

THING TWO WE WANNA SEE
Continued thump from Micah Johnson. Let’s not forget this guy blew out his MCL in a 2009 bowl game, and could barely participate in the combine. He was an absolute warrior at Kentucky. When someone from UK dominates the SEC in a sport without hoops, sign ’em up! Johnson has a gift for the big hit, and you need that on a defense. A strong night could lock up a spot on the 53.

THING THREE WE WANNA SEE
Koa Misi making a big play or two. He’s come very close. I know, it’s tougher when Mike Nolan is keeping his schemes much more vanilla than usual. But it would be nice for Misi to show that the mid-week demotion was just a motivational tactic, and not actual concern about his ability. Of course, it could have just been a testament to the continued rise of Ike Alama-Francis’. Depth is nice, ain’t it?

A FEW MORE THINGS WE WANNA SEE

*Jeff Ireland and Dez Bryant hugging it out over a few Gatorades.

*Dez Bryant’s mother cheering for her son, staying out of trouble, Langford-sized diamonds in her ears.

*Somehow, some way, a long touchdown scamper for veteran long snapper John Denney. The guy deserves one shining moment, doesn’t he?

I really hope Micah makes the team. Not sure y but he reminds me of Bryan Cox. Maybe its just his attitude on the field, but I like it!

I’d like to see Marlon Moore, since he’s going to be on the roster anyways…

Marlon. Good call. I loved him knocking the helmet clear off that Falcon’s head. That kid’s got somethin’.
