Report: Parcells Saves Sparano’s Job with Phone Call

29 Dec

As he continued to walk away from an incomplete Miami rebuild, and is reportedly already consulting with a competing franchise, Bill Parcells apparently took a moment away from counting Stephen Ross’ money to pick up the Tunaphone and advise the Dolphins’ owner to keep Tony “Crazylegs” Sparano.

Ain’t that nice of him? Would Ross really listen to this advice, regardless of the World Champion coaches who might be interested in coming to Davie? Sparano over “The Chin” because of a Parcells phone call? We’re going to let Jon Gruden waltz over to San Francisco because Bill let his fingers do the walking?

I’m mentally preparing myself for a 2011 full of punts and field goals. The two top dogs in the AFC East are led by riverboat gamblers. The Dolphins are retaining the least daring coach in the NFL. Tony’s a good guy, and a hell of a cheerleader. But he’s never met a kick he didn’t like.

Perhaps Ross isn’t much of a risk taker either.

Tony should stay. A disciplinarian and usually gets the most out of the players. The OC is killing him. Tony should stick up for truth, which is offense sucks, starting with QB…

Henne is soft! Mentally tough? hmm.. if you can’t hit the WR when he is WIDE open on multiple occasions it’s all you. That’s what you do, Mr. QB-Hit the open man and command an offense. You seem more introverted or constipated than “mentally tough.”
Where is your confidence and fire? Blame someone or get fired up about something boy, your job is on the line! Your team is on the line! Why don’t we chug on over to mamby pamby land and find some self confidence in you Jackwagon!

I think a fresh OC and a new young RB who can HIT a HOLE (sorry Ronnie you never had this talent) and go the distance will help alot! Ex. Jacoby Ford in the middle of the draft last year, wonder what would have happened if we draft Ford and 1st rounder RB from Clemson… 😉

Urgency, Explosion, Decisions and Confidence. I wonder if this is practiced on offense or do they just “run plays and watch film.”

O what I would do if I were king for a day! Parcells — FA get you S**T outta here. You’re fired. Lets start with Urgency Mr Ross.

I cannot believe that Ross would keep such a moron like Sporano with all the quality coaches available.

Who is Sporano? He is a Parcels cronnie. He is not a head coach. I will not follow the Dolphins next year.

Agreed. Sparano should stay. We have one of the least penalized teams in the league, he is disciplined, gets the most out of guys, and letting him go would set the team back 2 years.

However, Henning should have been gone 2-3 months ago! Sparano should have taken leadership to give him the boot. I guess Ross will have to do it for him.

Henne plays like a deer caught in the headlights. Maybe next year will be his year, or maybe we’ll pick up someone in the 1st round. But I don’t see anyone falling to us at this point that would be a significant upgrade.

Whoever wrote that article is clueless why do the people who miss the big picture get to put their moronic thoughts in a dolphin article. You obviously don’t have a clue please watch some football or at least a full Miami season before you write!!!!!
