Randy Starks Sacks Michael Vick During Pre-Pro Bowl Scrimmage

31 Jan

Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Randy Starks sacked Eagles’ quarterback Michael Vick yesterday, in a well-attended scrimmage leading up to the actual Pro Bowl.

Shortly after rock band The Goo Goo Dolls completed their sound check, the teams took the field for a lighthearted walk-through in front of several thousand fans, and on national, network television.

On the NFC’s second “possession”, Starks jogged around the left tackle, finding himself face to face with Vick, whose comeback was one of 2010’s biggest sports stories. Vick pretended to flee, before falling to the turf in Starks’ grasp, as the two laughed and exchanged pleasantries.

Though the mood was light, expect these competitors to bring the pain once the real battle begins. We will have our popcorn ready, although we can’t find the game anywhere in the TV listings.
