There’s the Beef: Miami Shows Men in Middle the Money

4 Mar

First the Dolphins dropped a small fortune to tag nose tackle Paul “The Mad Islander” Soliai. Then, with the expiration of the CBA nearing, Miami has locked up versatile lineman Richie “I’ll Punch You in the Face” Incognito to a three year deal.

The moves lock down the centerpieces to both our offensive and defensive lines, as Incognito is likely to play center next season. The tempermental offensive lineman was thought to be a risk, but was on his best behavior during his maiden voyage with the Sea Mammals.

We’re very pleased that both of these big men are on board. They’re both still in their 20s, and knowing they’re under contract will allow us to focus on other positions early in the 2011 draft.
