Edmond Gates, Small School Lightning in a Bottle (with video)

30 Apr

45 minutes after we put him atop our wish list and Edmond Gates is a Dolphin. We love this pick. He is dangerous, and our offense hasn’t been. You know you’re at a small school when they can’t afford a tripod for the camera, they misspell your name on your own highlight reel, and they can’t afford to put music behind it. You’ve got to love the handshakes after touchdowns.

Enjoy. Welcome to Miami, Edmond.

Looks interesting – but I cannot help but have concerns, related to another speedy Dolphin (now with SF). He seems to run towards the sidelines and I don’t see much of him in traffic.

I understand your concerns. Ginn was relied upon to be a #1, which was doomed to fail from the start. If his role was made very specific, it might have turned out better. Also, I like Gates’ burst more than Ted’s.

      Thanks for your comment!
