The Miami Dolphins were unable to defeat the student body of Watkins Elementary in a hard-fought but ultimately lopsided pizza party Wednesday afternoon, falling 124 slices to just 50.

Fullback Lousaka Polite led the Dolphins, rumbling for 28 slices eaten over the one hour affair. His teammates, Dan Carpenter, Jeron Mastrud, Dedrick Epps, Roberto Wallace and Nate Ness combined for just 22 slices.

“I’m embarrassed,” said a dejected Epps as he made his way to the parking lot afterwards. “They jumped on us right away, and never let up.”

Placekicker Dan Carpenter choked back tears as he cowered in the corner of the cafeteria. “They just wanted it more.”

Fourth grader Randy Piffle led the students with 51 slices in 58 attempts, easily a school record.

The Dolphins will look to right the ship next week, during a taco party against undefeated William Jennings Bryan Elementary.

Randy Piffle was too much for the SoFlo Sea Mammals.
